Style and Approach

It’s Kimberly’s personal view that human beings, all human beings, encounter “mountain top” experiences and “valley experiences” in their lifetime. Her goal is to assist in the valley of your life. Valleys may entail dealing with loss of a loved one, divorce, or some level of mental discomfort. Her approach to helping is solutions focused and client centered. That essentially means that you are in charge of the direction of your journey. She will be empathetic and challenge you along the way to ensure you meet your goals. She believes in creating a safe space for clients where the atmosphere is warm and inviting.

She is well versed in dealing with various culture groups as she was a classroom teacher and worked for a workforce board to help clients who were out of work. As an African American, she will apply some life lessons to the therapeutic process that marginalized culture groups may experience.
