Getting to know Dieula

Dieula Previllon is a therapist whose purpose is to help empower all people she meets to live fully and wholly. She believes when people can embrace all of who they are and become aware of their strengths and weaknesses and push through the ups and downs of life, they are better able to live full lives and make great strides. Dieula is an advocate for the voiceless, an encourager to all who need support and she aims to elevate those that find themselves in humble life circumstances. She is based out of our Washington Township location and can provide counseling through teletherapy to Texas and New Jersey clients.

Dieula’s purpose and passion stem from her upbringing in Haiti. She experienced many challenges growing up in Haiti and living as 1.5 generation immigrant and those challenges have helped her find her life’s purpose to empower others. Dieula wears many hats to accomplish her purpose; she’s a former school teacher, a former school counselor, currently a pastor, founded and presently runs a nonprofit that helps women heal from trauma, a life coach and she provides individual counseling. Dieula loves every opportunity she has been afforded to empower others.

Dieula is married to her best friend, Fresnel who can always find some way to make her laugh. She’s also the mother of three teenage sons. She not only loves them, she likes their spirit and the men they’re fighting to become.

Style & Approach

The first word that comes to Dieula’s mind when she’s thinking of her approach to counseling is PRESENCE. When she engages with her clients she is fully present, paying attention to not only the words they share but also the non-verbal communication. She helps her clients become aware of their narratives, narratives that often seem to control their thoughts and actions. She then helps them process those narratives and negotiate new narratives. In the new narratives, she helps her clients find their voice and create new strategies for living full and whole lives.

Dieula has a passion and experience working with teens, families, couples, teens and women with sexual trauma, coaching women and men seeking more fulfilling romantic relationships and couples who have dealt with infidelity.
